Working principle

When the drum rotates, due to the effect of vacuum, a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the drum is formed, which promotes the adsorption of sludge on the filter cloth. The liquid flows through the filter cloth along the vacuum pipe to the gas-water separation tank, and is continuously vacuumed to make it adsorb on the filter cloth. The sludge on the drum is dried to form a filter cake, and the filter cake is removed from the filter cloth through a scraper device, completing a cycle process and entering the next cycle. The water press uses a lever to push. The piston itself does not have a valve, but at the top of the suction pipe, there is a valve v2 that opens upwards, and the second valve v1 is installed at the opening of the pressure pipe connected to the pump.

When the piston is raised, a thin air space is formed in the pump, and atmospheric pressure presses water into this space from a low point. During this process, the valve v1 is closed and v2 is opened. When the piston presses down, v2 is closed, and the water in the pump is pressed into the pressure tube through the opened valve v1, and is strongly ejected from this tube. It is the same as a water pump. When water is pressed into the suction pipe by normal air pressure, it can only be pumped to a height of 10.33 meters at most. However, any length of the water pressure pipe can be made, because the water in the pressure pipe is not due to the external air pressure, but is pressed out by the pressure on the piston. Therefore, water presses are often used in various occasions where the water pressure needs to be higher than 10 meters. In addition, when the water continues to move, if it is necessary to overcome huge pressure, such as supplying boiler feed water, a water press must be used, so the water press must be made more robust.
